The South African Government has this week launched a Digital Transformation Roadmap, setting out a vision to improve public services and drive inclusive economic growth, with contributions from alumni, faculty and researchers at the School.

A new study, led by Dr Anders Bach-Mortensen and Dr Ben Goodair at Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government, finds that for-profit care homes are more likely to receive poor inspection ratings when higher numbers of residents are state-funded, while charity- and council-run homes provide more consistent quality care regardless of residents’ ability to pay.

On Tuesday 18th February, the Minerva Global Security Programme hosted sixty Officer Cadets from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and students from the Potential Officer Development Programme for a seminar on global security challenges.

With ransomware and AI-driven cyberattacks on the rise, the need for a safe and secure cyberspace has never been more important. To help governments navigate the cyber frontier and encourage the responsible of adoption of emerging technologies, the Blavatnik School is establishing the Oxford Programme for Cyber and Technology Policy.
